Asus ZenWatch seems to be already available in the USA. It will also soon be available in Europe. Lets take a look at its features.
Last September, the manufacturer Asus showed its smartwatch ZenWatch to 199 euros, but did not give details on its availability. It turns out that the subject has recently become available in the North American market. It is expected to hit other regions on different shelves, to ensure a presence under the tree.
As a reminder, the Asus ZenWatch features a SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 400. It enjoys a Krait 400 quad-core 1.2 GHz processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM and offers next to it an AMOLED display of 1.63 inch in a 320 x 320 pixels resolution with treatment to scratches, flash memory of 4GB to accommodate the data, a wireless Bluetooth connection for headphones and a microphone. It works with Android Wear, a derivative of Android for connected objects, which is masked by the ZenUI graphic overlay.
Asus ZenWatch can be connected with any smartphone equipped with the Android 4.3 operating system or higher (4.4 KitKat or 5.0 Lollipop) and ZenWatch Manager application is also available on Google Play store. An integrated battery allows it to hold a little more than a day, while IP55 certification ensures that it is resistant to water splashes. In addition to the classics such as the display of notices or hands-free calling features, it proposes interesting things such as double tap to locate and ringing the smartphone or roofing with hand to mute the ringer during an incoming call.
