After the Redmi Note, popular Chinese brand Xiaomi is ready to launch its the successor of Redmi Note – the Redmi Note 2. The alleged specs of the Redmi Note 2 has been leaked by a Chinese report.
According to a report from China, Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 2 in January 2015. The Redmi Note 2 will act as a competitor of Meizu M1 Note, that was unveiled not long ago. It looks like the war of smartphone between RMB thousand is going to happen in early next year.
The Chinese tipster also revealed that the Redmi Note 2 will follow the design of Redmi Note. If you are expecting a new Redmi Note device with a new design, then it will not happen so soon. However, there are tweaks and improvements on the Redmi Note 2.
The Redmi Note 2 will have the same 5.5-inch display, but the resolution will be upgraded to 1080p FHD. The processor that powered the Redmi Note 2 is likely to be a 64-bit octa-core processor, which is either Snapdragon 615 or MediaTek MT6572. The RAM of new Redmi Note 2 is reportedly 2GB and 16GB of internal storage.
It was also reported that the Redmi Note 2 will feature a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The battery is at least 3,000mAh and MIUI 6 that based on Android 4.4 KitKat is the possible operating system.
The Chinese report also provided the launch date of Redmi Note 2, which is either January 21st or January 28th. The price tag of the Redmi Note 2 should be the same at RMB$799.
